Kiwa Lamp takes the traditional configuration of a translucent shade and heavy base, and manipulates the form into a figure that occupies space as a sculptural object.
Its scalloped silhouette hovers between references: a shingled roof, a female figure, the capital of a column, a flower in bloom. Warm light filters through the gaps between each petal, casting the room in a soft, diffused glow.
The shade is 3D-printed; the base is cast in concrete and finished with carnauba and beeswax.
